Chad Cannon is a self-motivated attorney, driven to be one of the top sports agents in the country. Chad earned a scholarship out of high school to play football at Abilene Christian University. After one full season as a starting wide receiver, he transferred to Baylor University where he played football for two more seasons under Grant Teaff before sustaining a career-ending knee injury. Competing at the collegiate level and playing alongside athletes who were ultimately drafted allowed Chad the opportunity to interact with professional athletes and sports agents across the nation. As a result of this experience, Chad knows the hard work and dedication necessary to play at the professional level and utilizes this same work ethic he realized as a player to provide personalized service to his clients.
Following graduation from Baylor University in 1994, Chad studied sports law at Texas Wesleyan School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas and cultivated his on-going relationships with professional athletes, coaches and sports agents. Chad graduated law school in 1998 and has worked with professional athletes since 1999. As an attorney, he is well equipped to handle all aspects of a professional athlete’s career and is committed to representing top-notch athletes with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity. Chad promises his clients superior representation through hard work and personal commitment to each individual athlete.
Experience
Following law school, Chad had the opportunity to work with and alongside some of the top sports agents across the country. During this time, Chad witnessed the primary complaint of many athletes entering the life of professional sports: the agent’s inattentiveness to athletes’ demands and needs. This was largely due to the lack of personalized service. C&NSM was founded to foster the athlete-agent relationship by satisfying each athlete’s individual need so that he may achieve his ultimate goal of playing sports professionally.
Alvin T. Nelson is a NFL Players Association Certified Contract Advisor. He has negotiated NFL contracts since 2004. During this time Alvin has proven ability, has a positive attitude, and is always available to help clients, even after contract negotiations. Alvin is highly qualified to represent athletes in today’s competitive and complicated business of professional football. He possesses the experience and credentials necessary to represent athletes’ interests coming into professional football, throughout their playing careers, and as they transition into life after football.
Mr. Nelson graduated from the University of Miami with a BS and is currently pursuing his masters in Economics. While attending the University of Miami, Mr. Nelson advised numerous University of Miami football players on the agent selection process. After graduation Mr. Nelson was urged by numerous University of Miami football players to pursue a career in the sports agent business. The rest is history. Alvin is passionate about making sure his clients receive the highest quality representation. He works extremely hard to maximize his clients’ opportunity to play in the NFL.
Experience
Alvin is involved in all aspects of client representation, specializing in contract negotiations. With over seven years experience, Alvin, has established himself as one of the top up and coming agents in the industry. His expertise in corporate negotiations has earned him the reputation of being a well respected and shrewd negotiator. He has a keen ability to always consider his clients’ needs while securing the best possible contracts. Alvin works in tandem with Chad to identify each clients’ needs and frequently exceeds a players’ expectations by presenting them with endorsement opportunities which result in incremental off the field income.
Jessica Anderson is the marketing manager for our team. She has extensive experience in marketing players and working closely with corporate sponsors. Jessica earned her bachelors degree from California State University of Sacramento in 2008. Jessica is committed to ensuring each client has a positive image in the community and that each client has the chance to earn marketing and endorsement opportunities.
Aimee Mitchell is the Director of Client Services and the Events Coordinator for our team. Aimee provides individualized services to each client including merchandising, promotions, sponsorships, and endorsements.
